Question:
السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته
If woman wants to do 2 umrahs, one for herself and one for someone else, can she do that with one ihram?
So she doesn’t have to go to meeqat the second time amd cut her hair after the 1st and 2 umrahs
Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
In principle, one ihraam is valid for one ‘umrah only. After performing the first ‘umrah, a person must come out of the state of ihraam, by cutting his/her hair, and then reenter it from an appropriate entry point (meeqaat) if he/she wishes to perform another ‘umrah. This is irrespective of whether the second ‘umrah is for oneself or someone else.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
