If one was doing a good deed and they were making dua to Allah to purify their intention but still felt a little bit of riya in their heart, is the deed accepted because they tried to purify their intention? What if they asked Allah for forgiveness afterwards as well?
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
May Allaah Ta’aala grant us sincerity in all our actions. Acceptance is only in the Hands of Allaah Ta’aala. No one can guarantee you that your deeds were accepted. A believer’s attitude and state should always be between khawf and rajaa, fear of getting rejected and sincere hope of acceptance. Continue doing good deeds sincerely to the best of your abilities.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
