asalamalakim I was wondering is 50 ml of water sufficient to clean the private part? If not how much should be enough I spend a lot of time in the bathroom.
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
There is no minimum or necessary amount. The purpose is to remove the impurity. Water too is only necessary if the impurity has spread from the exit point a size of a dirham, which is approximately 3 cm in diameter. In that case, if less than 50 ml removes the impurity, then that will be sufficient. If more is required, then that will be necessary. The required amount may differ from person to person. One should use enough water that he feels content that he is clean. However, he should also avoid wasting, especially if he suffers from waswasah.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
