Question:
Assalamualykum mufti saheb. While giving qurbani of a part in a cow can i also make an intention of one part for a girls haqeeqa and 2 parts for a boys haqeeqa.

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

A cow may be divided into seven shares. These shares must be for the purpose of ‘ibaadah. Qurbaani is a form of ‘ibaadah and so is ‘aqeeqah. Accordingly, it is permissible to include ‘aqeeqah from amongst the shares of a cow when performing qurbaani. You may do as mentioned in the query.
