Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatahu,
In the western style bathrooms that we use today, are we allowed to recite basmalah while making wudu?
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
You should not verbally recite bismillaah when making wudhu in the sink adjacent to the toilet. You may say it in your mind. The same applies to the other wudhu du’aas.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
