Question:
Assalamualaikum mufti Sahab
Mufti should we accept cake & sweets distributed during someone’s Birthday. Even though we have not taken part in their celebrations but the cake has been offered later on. Should this cake be accepted ?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

If you are offered or given cake and other sweets afterwards from a birthday party, you may accept it provided that the food item itself is halaal.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
