Fatwaa ID: 1209
A man has a child out of wedlock with a non Muslim woman.
What’s the ruling on the man bringing illegitimate child to his own family every few days.
Is this allowed?
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
A child born out of wedlock is an illegitimate child. He will not bear his biological father’s name nor will he inherit him. This should be made clear to the family. The father and mother must make sincere tawbah. Notwithstanding this, this child should be shown love and mercy. He is not at fault. It is permissible for the biological father to bring this child to his family. The child may even stay with them.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
