Question:
Assalaamu alaykum.

At my local masjid, a lot of fathers bring children to the masjid who pray in the first suf and mixed in with all the adults.

Are there any rulings on this?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

In principle, if there are a few non-baaligh children, then a separate line should be formed for them behind the men. They should not join the line with the adults. However, if they do join the line with the adults, then the salaah will be valid. Their presence in the line will not affect the validity of the salaah.
