السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
If one were obligated to wear a clip-on badge with their picture on it as part of their office job, could tucking the badge into their pocket out of view during salat suffice in ensuring the salat’s validity? And if so, if one were to pray while forgetting to conceal the badge would it invalidate the salat to where the salat would need to be made up?
May Allāh preserve you and your work.
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
- It will be sufficient for one to tuck the badge into his pocket prior to starting the salaah. The salaah will be valid.
- The salaah would be valid. There is no need to repeat the salaah.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
