Question:
Assalam o alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu respected Mufti Sahab
Is it permissible to wear clothing or jewellery that has non- functional bells on it? Meaning that the bells are just for decoration but do not produce any noise.

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

It is permissible to purchase clothing and jewelry that have non-functional bells on them. However, as it may be something that indicates towards music, it will be better to avoid it.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
