Question:
Assalam o alaikum respected Mufti Sahab

Someone asked me what the ruling is about music that is computer generated and not via actual instruments?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

Computer generated music is prohibited just like music created by actual instruments. The effects and the results are the same. Hence, the ruling too is the same.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
