Question:
Assalamualaykum. I need to know if we can use cosmetic made of poppy seed ? Please note that the cosmetic made of poppy seeds are banned in gulf as they consider that poppy seeds are in category of drugs so they do not allow to e3 them .jazakillahu khairan

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

Poppy seeds are pure and halaal for consumption and application. It is permissible to use cosmetics made with poppy seeds. Obviously, the other ingredients must be pure as well. In the enquired situation, we advise you to ensure that you do not get yourself into any legal trouble.
