Question:
Assalamu alaikum wrwb,
I had a question regarding women in state of impurity due to periods or being in state of junub. I heard that if a woman was to delay her ghusl, the ground shakes due to the anger of Allah and this woman is cursed by the angels.
Is this just a baseless idea or actually a thing? Is there any hadith or anything to support this or is it just baseless?
If it is a an actual concept in islam, can you please elaborate on it further?
Jazakillah Khair
Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
The above is baseless. It is advisable to perform ghusl without unnecessary delay. However, if one does delay, there is no sin or issue.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
