Question:

Salam Aleykum, I attended a funeral last night of a 86 year old man- not sure what he suffered from exactly but he was in bed for the past 15 years & his wife and son took care of him. Now….last night, I had a dream of him saying “I wonder if they brushed my teeth good.” He wasn’t facing me or talking to me..his back was facing me. Do I need to do anything on my end? Thank you in advance.

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

When a person passes away, he is in the world of reality and not in the world of wonder. Ignore the dream and focus on the time when we will pass away and face the reality of death and life after death. Prepare yourself for that.

And Allaah Ta’aala Knows Best.
