Asalamualaikum Mufti Sahib I hope you are well
1) Is it true that if you drink alcohol in the Dunya, then you won’t get wine in Jannah?
2) If someone completes the next act of Salah before the Imaam, do you need to repeat your Fardh after the Jamaat?
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
- Rasulullaah ﷺ said,
مَنْ شَرِبَ الخَمْرَ فِي الدُّنْيَا، ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُبْ مِنْهَا، حُرِمَهَا فِي الآخِرَةِ
“Whoever drinks alcohol in this world and thereafter does not make tawbah from it, he will be deprived of it in the Hereafter.” [Bukhaari 5575, Muslim 2003]
- If a person performs a necessary posture of salaah before the imaam and he completes it before the imaam, i.e., he and the imaam did not perform it together, then the salaah will be invalidated. The salaah will to be repeated. If the person realizes his mistake and immediately joins back with the imaam, then the salaah will be valid.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
