Eating meat in Muharram

Fatwaa ID: 1536

Salaams… hope you well.
Can I just confirm that islamically there is NO RULING which says that you cannot consume Qurbaani or Any other Halaal Meat in Muharram? And any other time of the year?

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

That is correct. The above claim is baseless. It is permissible without any reprehension to eat Qurbaani meat and all other types of halaal meat in the month of Muharram and at other times. There is no restriction at all in this regard. To claim otherwise is a bid’ah.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
