Question:
Respected mufti sahab can you please guide about ruling on artificial eye lashes?

Clarification: Asslamu alaikum it’s about using fake eyelashes for bridal or any other make up.

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

At the outset, it is unadvisable wear fake eyelashes. One should cherish and appreciate her natural beauty. Such things are often deceptive and also reduce the self esteem of a person. Nevertheless, it is permissible to wear fake eyelashes provided that they are not made from human or pig hair. Likewise, it will be necessary to ensure that the fake eyelashes do not prevent water from reaching beneath it. If they do, then this would affect the validity of one’s wudhu and ghusl. It is not uncommon for them to be water impermeable.
