Question:
Aslam o alaikum

Some females have their second name with father like Anam Waqas (without binte)
While others have both names for females like Anam Fatima

Is there any restriction to any of the two? or both are fine?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

Both of the above methods are permissible. In the case where the father’s name is the second/middle name, it is understood that “bint” is hidden. This is common in the Arabic language as well.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
