Question:
Assalamualikum, I pray you are all well. Ameen.
Is the du’a made at Tahajud time by women on their menses valued the same as everyone else (in a pure making dua? Therefore, does Allah decend down the 7 heavens to listen?
Jazzak Allah Khair.
Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
The time of Tahajjud itself, more specifically the last portion of the night, is very valuable. Du’aas are accepted at this time. This blessed time is extended to everyone, including women who are in their menses. Women in their menses may get up at this time and engage in ‘ibaadaat other than salaah and tilaawah, such as dhikr, du’aa, muraaqabah, tadabbur, etc.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
