Hadith GPT

Fatwaa ID: 768

Question:
Asalamualaikum,

I was wondering if you can tell me how authentic this website is? Can it be used as a source for information?

https://www.hadithgpt.com/

I am a little confused because I asked if it is mandatory to wear the hijab, and it stated that it is recommended but not mandatory.

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

Hadith GPT which is now closed, Alhamdulillaah, was a failed job. We commend those behind it for shutting it down. The answers provided by it were laughable and almost always clearly incorrect. Despite technological advancements, AI will never be able to replace traditional scholars. You must seek your Deen from the right sources. AI is not and will not be a right source.

Hijaab is mandatory and an obligation. It is not a choice. There is no difference in this matter. A woman must don the complete hijaab irrespective of whether she feels like it or not. The common distorted forms of “hijaab” must be avoided.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
