Question:

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Are Hanafis allowed to sell crab?
What is the status of their earnings from such?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

It is permissible for Hanafis to sell live crabs as they are pure animals. The income therefrom will be halaal. As for crabs prepared for eating, that will not be permissible for a Hanafi to sell.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
