Question:
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

I have a house in NYC and in Upstate NY.

My watne asli is NYC and all my family live together here. I have nobody there upstate so it’s just our property.

My family only goes upstate when we have off or there are errands of the house to take care of. I will be moving there permanently in the future.

But for now until I move, will that house upstate still count as my watne asli or no ? According to the hanafi mazhab.

We take note of the details of your query. We understand that you live in NYC. The property you own in Upstate is like a vacation home, although you plan to move there permanently in the future. Accordingly, you will be musaafir in Upstate as long as you stay there for less than 15 days.
