Question:
If I’m going to pray the later Eid salah with family and friends, can I still join the early Eid salah with an intention of ishraq or nafl?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

It is prohibitively disliked to perform any nafl salaah, including Ishraaq prior to the ‘Eid Salaah. Accordingly, in the enquired situation, you should not join the earlier congregation with the intention of nafl if you intend to join the later one with your family and friends. Likewise, you should not join the earlier one with the intention of ‘Eid and the later one with the intention of nafl. That too is reprehensible. You should only join one congregation.
