Question:
Asalaam mu alaykum wa rahmatul. If there are three siblings.. A boy and two girls then whose duty is it to look after the mother. The mother is in her sixties but not muhtaaj

Answer:

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

It is is truly sad to receive such questions. Being dutiful and serving the mother is a duty and a right on every child. It is not a burden but a means of success and barakah in both lives. The three children in reference must take out time and serve their mother. If needed, a schedule may be drawn to facilitate this. This should be done for the pleasure of Allaah Ta’aala, which is attained through pleasing the parents.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
