Assalamualaikum wrwb respected mufti sahib.
I have 3 specific questions:
- Is the 1st wife’s grandchildren mahram for the 2nd wife.
- Is the 2nds wife child
mahram for the 1st wife’s grandchildren?
- Is the 1st wives daughters husband mahram for the 2nd wife?
Clarification: Yes. The children of the 1st and 2nd wife are from the same husband.
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
- The first wife’s grandchildren are mahram to the second wife.
- The second wife’s children are mahram for the first wife’s grandchildren.
- The first wife’s daughter’s husband is not a mahram for the second wife.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
