السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
I just want to double check if I am understanding this correctly
If zaheera has a daughter(Asmaa) and her brothers wife(Aminah) has a son (muhammed)
And they breastfeed eachothers children so they become mahrams
A few years later Aminah had 2 sons which were not breastfed by Zaheera
Zaheera also later had a daughter (Ayesha)
Am I correct in thinking that only Muhammed with be Ayeshas mahram and not the other 2 sons who were not breastfed by zaheera
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
In principle, when a woman breastfeeds a child, then he becomes mahram to all her biological children. However, her biological children do not become mahrams to the foster child’s siblings unless they too were breastfed. Accordingly, in the enquired situation, Muhammed will be mahram to Asma and Ayesha. The other two brothers of Muhammed will be mahrams to Asma but not to Ayesha. To put it the other way, Asma is a mahram to all three brothers while Ayesha is a mahram to Muhammed only. Your understanding is correct.
It should be noted that modesty must be maintained even between foster siblings.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
