Question:
As-salaamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Is it okay to get an MRI for the brain while fasting? They usually inject the patient with chemicals before the procedure.

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

It is permissible to get an MRI of the brain while fasting. The chemicals injected into the patient prior to the procedure does not affect the validity of the fast. The contrast or chemical does not enter an orifice of consequence nor reach a cavity of consequence.
