Question:
Assalamualaikum

Muftian kiraam

An elderly person who has prostate issues normally wears pampers when coming to masjid so that nothing gets soiled in masjid. When he goes for umrah what he he do in state of ehram?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

May Allaah Ta’aala make it easy for him. It is permissible for the elderly person in reference to wear pampers/diapers while in the state of ihraam. This will not affect the validity of the ihraam nor necessitate any form of penalty. It should be noted the general laws of tahaarah will still be applicable unless the person qualifies as a ma’dhoor.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
