Question:
Assalaam o alikum warahmatulahi wabarakatu.

What is ruling on playing Quran while making salaat?

What is ruling on playing Quran very loud it’s heard outside of the home? This sometimes disturbs when trying to make salaat.

I did try to search for these but couldn’t find exactly about these?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

1. When a person stands in salaah, he is standing in front of Allaah Ta’aala. He must stand with undivided focus and attention. He should ensure that he turns off and moves aside anything that may divert his attention from his salaah. Playing recordings of the Qur’aan while performing salaah will definitely deter a person from focusing in his salaah. This should be avoided.
2. Avoid disturbing others. You play recordings for yourself. Play them at a moderate volume such that it does not cause others inconvenience. Do not be a means or reason for others to turn away from the Qur’aan.
