Question:
Assalamu Walaykum.

If i enter a raffle for shoes which are made from pigskin am i allowed to sell them? Have no intention of wearing them.

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

Pig and its byproducts are intrinsically impure. It is not permissible to derive any form of benefit from impure things. Accordingly, it is not permissible to enter into a raffle to win haraam items such as shoes made of pigskin. Likewise, if one unfortunately wins the haraam item, then it must be discarded. It may not be sold to anyone, including non-Muslims. The proceeds therefrom would be haraam.
