Renting out hall for weddings

Fatwaa ID: 741

Question:
We do have a hall that is being hired for weddings mostly for Muslims. At times they hire the hall to non Muslims were liquor, and haram food is being consumed. Will it be permissible to let out the halls to non Muslims in this case

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

It is permissible to rent out your hall to Muslims and non-Muslims. You are not responsible for how they use the hall. However, if you know for a fact that they will be using it solely for something haraam, then it will be unadvisable to rent it out to them.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
