السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
1 Do I have to make a Umrah if I visit Taif from Makkah?
2 If I made a intention to purchase something than do I have to make a Umrah on return?
جزاك الله خيرا
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
- We understand that you are enquiring about returning back to Makkah after visiting Taif. The majority of Taif is outside the meeqaat boundaries. There are signs affixed that highlight the boundaries. If a person exits the posted boundary, then he must don the ihraam and thereafter perform ‘umrah if wishes to return back to the Haram boundaries.
- Yes. The donning of the ihraam and performing of ‘umrah will be necessary in all cases according to the Hanafi legal school irrespective of intention or purpose of exit or entry.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
