Rewards from credit card providers and banks

Question:
Asalamualaykum Mufti

A) Is it permissible to accept and spend reward points from credit card providers?

B) is it permissible to accept cash rewards from the bank.
However these will only be given on the basis of having 2 direct debits being paid out the account.

If the answer is not permissible to accept.
Would it be given towards a charity as Sadaqa/lillah/interest?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

It is permissible to accept and spend reward points and cash rewards from credit card providers and banks. The rewards are incentives provided to encourage the customers to use their services. It would not be regarded as ribaa.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
