Question:
Assalamualaikum warahmatulahi wabarkathu

Can we donate something, on behalf of two individual like like I donate a Quran(1) and have the intention that may 50% of this reward go to mom and the other half go to my dad. And as I’m donating it on their behalf will I get the whole reward(100%) without any reduction in their reward?
I’m about to donate it in a while so can I know the answer a bit quick

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

When doing eesaal thawaab, it may be done for multiple and many people. The reward will go to all of them equally as well as to the donor. Allaah Ta’aala is most kind and generous. There is no need to distribute the reward into percentages. If you want to, that is permissible.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
