Sajdah verse heard from a child

Fatwaa ID: 625

as-Salamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullāhi wa barakātuh

If a non baligh child recites ayat of sajdah to their parent, does the parent have to do sajdah tilawat?

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

If one hears a sajdah verse being recited by a child, then Sajdah Tilaawah will become necessary on the listener.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
