Question:
Asalam Alaikum respected Ulema,
Is it prohibited or reprehensible to drink from a vessel in which the liquid is not easily seen (from the side or top) e.g. black insulated water bottles?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

In principle, it is not necessary to look at the beverage when drinking. However, prior to drinking, one should ensure that the beverage is clean. Accordingly, it is permissible to drink from a vessel wherein the liquid is not easily seen provided that one is sure that it is clean and drinkable.
