Assalamualaykum Mufti Saab, pray you are well insha’Allah. When selling worn gold at the Jewellers if the jeweller mentions that he will sell it as it is because it looks good/new will it be permissable to sell it to them. In this case I’m presuming they will sell it as new although it’s been worn lightly.
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
You may sell your gold to whoever you want for whatever price you mutually agree on. You are not responsible for what the buyer does after purchasing the gold from you. He is responsible for his own actions. If he lies and deceives when selling the gold to another person, he will be accountable for that, not you.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
