Question:
Assalamu alaikum.
Hoping Mufti saab is well.
Question:
I have a stationary business. A liquor company wants to buy stationary from me. Is permissible for me to sell it to then
Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
We understand that the items that will be sold to the liquor company are items that may be used by other than liquor company as well or have multipurposes. Accordingly, it will be permissible to sell such stationary items to a liquor company. The seller is not responsible for how the buyer uses the purchased items. However, if you are certain that the item will be used specifically for something impermissible by the buyer, then it will be unadvisable.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
