Sunnahs after fardh without gap

Fatwaa ID: 1962

Salaam, I have a question about namaz. For example I am reading Zohr Namaz. I read the 4 fard, but I had an emergency like work meeting or anything. Is it ok to take that break and than come back and read the rest of the namaz if there is time left. Or do you have to read the full namaz at one time and cannot have any gaps

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

The sunnahs connected to the fardh salaahs should ideally be performed along with their fardh salaahs without a prolonged gap. However, if there is a gap in between them due to a reason or occurrence, then there is no problem provided that they are performed within the alloted time frame.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
