Question:
Assalaamu Alaikum Apa, I hope you well..

I wanted to know if it’s permissable to take food from the hotel breakfast buffet to eat later in the day?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

You must follow the terms and conditions of the place. If the hotel permits you to take something to eat for later in the day, then that will be permissible. If they do not, then that will not be permissible. Many hotels allow it. You will have to verify from the manager or workers. If the hotel does not permit it but yet you take it, then that is impermissible and haraam.
