Question:
As salaamu alaykum

If a husband give 3 talaqs while you’re on your period is that talaq valid?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

It is sinful and incorrect for the husband to issue talaaq when the wife is in her haydh. However, any talaaq issued during the haydh will be valid and binding. In the enquired situation where the husband foolishly issued three talaaqs while she was on her period, all three were valid and binding. The three would constitute Talaaq Mughallazah, a permanently irrevocable divorce. They must refrain from all forms of physical interactions. They will not be able to reconcile unless a valid halaalah is found.
