Question:
Assalamu’alaikum wr wb wm, Is tawafe wida compulsory for people doing Umrah?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

There is no Tawaaf al-Widaa’ for ‘Umrah. Tawaaf al-Widaa’ is only legislated for Hajj.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.

ﻭﻟﻴﺲ ﻓﻲ اﻝﻋﻤﺮﺓ ﻃﻮاﻑ اﻟﺼﺪﺭ، ﻭﻻ ﻃﻮاﻑ اﻟﻘﺪﻭﻡ ﺃﻣﺎ ﻃﻮاﻑ اﻟﻘﺪﻭﻡ ﻓﻸﻧﻪ ﻛﻤﺎ ﻭﺻﻞ ﺇﻟﻰ اﻟﺒﻴﺖ ﻳﺘﻤﻜﻦ ﻣﻦ ﺃﺩاء اﻟﻄﻮاﻑ اﻟﺬﻱ ﻫﻮ ﺭﻛﻦ ﻓﻲ ﻫﺬا اﻟﻨﺴﻚ ﻓﻼ ﻳﺸﺘﻐﻞ ﺑﻐﻴﺮﻩ ﺑﺨﻼﻑ اﻟﺤﺞ ﻓﺈﻧﻪ ﻋﻨﺪ اﻟﻘﺪﻭﻡ ﻻ ﻳﺘﻤﻜﻦ ﻣﻦ اﻟﻄﻮاﻑ اﻟﺬﻱ ﻫﻮ ﺭﻛﻦ اﻟﺤﺞ ﻓﻴﺄﺗﻲ ﺑﺎﻝﻃﻮاﻑ اﻟﻤﺴﻨﻮﻥ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺃﻥ ﻳﺠﻲء ﻭﻗﺖ اﻟﻄﻮاﻑ اﻟﺬﻱ ﻫﻮ ﺭﻛﻦ، ﻭﺃﻣﺎ ﻃﻮاﻑ اﻟﺼﺪﺭ ﻓﻘﺪ ﻗﺎﻝ اﻟﺤﺴﻦ – ﺭﺣﻤﻪ اﻟﻠﻪ ﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ – ﻓﻲ اﻝﻋﻤﺮﺓ ﻃﻮاﻑ اﻟﺼﺪﺭ ﺃﻳﻀﺎ ﻓﻲ ﺣﻖ ﻣﻦ ﻗﺪﻡ ﻣﻌﺘﻤﺮا ﺇﺫا ﺃﺭاﺩ اﻟﺮﺟﻮﻉ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺃﻫﻠﻪ ﻛﻤﺎ ﻓﻲ اﻟﺤﺞ، ﻭﻟﻜﻨﺎ ﻧﻘﻮﻝ ﺇﻥ ﻣﻌﻈﻢ اﻟﺮﻛﻦ ﻓﻲ اﻝﻋﻤﺮﺓ اﻝﻃﻮاﻑ، ﻭﻣﺎ ﻫﻮ ﻣﻌﻈﻢ اﻟﺮﻛﻦ ﻓﻲ اﻟﻨﺴﻚ ﻻ ﻳﺘﻜﺮﺭ ﻋﻨﺪ اﻟﺼﺪﺭ ﻛﺎﻟﻮﻗﻮﻑ ﻓﻲ اﻟﺤﺞ ﻷﻥ اﻟﺸﻲء اﻟﻮاﺣﺪ ﻻ ﻳﺠﻮﺯ ﺃﻥ ﻳﻜﻮﻥ ﻣﻌﻈﻢ اﻟﺮﻛﻦ ﻓﻲ ﻧﺴﻚ، ﻭﻫﻮ ﺑﻌﻴﻨﻪ ﻏﻴﺮ ﺭﻛﻦ ﻓﻲ ﺫﻟﻚ اﻟﻨﺴﻚ، ﻭﻷﻥ ﻣﺎ ﻫﻮ ﻣﻌﻈﻢ اﻟﺮﻛﻦ ﻣﻘﺼﻮﺩ، ﻭﻃﻮاﻑ اﻟﺼﺪﺭ ﺗﺒﻊ ﻳﺠﺐ ﻟﻘﺼﺪ ﺗﻮﺩﻳﻊ اﻟﺒﻴﺖ، ﻭاﻟﺸﻲء اﻟﻮاﺣﺪ ﻻ ﻳﻜﻮﻥ ﻣﻘﺼﻮﺩا ﻭﺗﺒﻌﺎ
