Question:
Assalam o allaikum I am a yoga 🧘‍♂️ teacher is this permissable in islam to earn money by teaching yog asanas

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

As Muslims, we are sensitive to the issues of Tawheed and Islamic values. Yoga has its roots in paganistic rituals and beliefs. Therefore, it will not be permissible to teach or engage in yoga, even if it is done as a form of exercise. The income earned therefrom is haraam. It is void of barakah and will definitely be a means of regret and remorse. You should find another job.
