السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Hoping you are well
What should one do if one has done time theft at work

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

A Muslim is truthful, honest and responsible in all aspects of his life. When he takes up a job, he must honestly fulfill his job and spend his time appropriately. It is an amaanah for which he shall be accountable and responsible.

In the enquired situation, it is commendable that he has acknowledged his wrong. He should make istighfaar. Moving forward, he should ensure that he fulfills his job honestly. If possible, he should do some voluntary overtime to cover the time spent inappropriately.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
