Question:
Is tuesday in love water permeable nail polish halal?
Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
We are unable to comment on the permeability of the nail polish in reference. It is stated on their website that they are certified by Islamic Council of South Africa (ICSA)[i]. We cannot comment on their observations. It would be advisable to avoid applying the nail polish until one can confirm its permeability as water reaching the nail is a prerequisite for the validity of Salaah[ii]. One should not risk the validity of her salaah.
