Respected mufti
What should one do if he is not at home and he has splashes of urine or something on his clothes should he perform salaah ?
What about esha salaah, if he is in the masjid should he follow the imaam or wait pray when he goes home.
Should a Hanfi follower perform salaah behind the imaam when he performs Asr salaah in earlier before Hanfi time has set in?
Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
- The splashes of urine should be washed. It is sufficient to wash the soiled portion only. There is no need to change or wash the entire garment. If it is difficult to wash in the enquired situation, one should take a tissue paper and soak it and then use that to wash off the impurity. If this is not feasible, then one will be excused if the total combined amount of impurity is up to the size of a dirham, approximately 2.75 cm in diameter. Anything more than that will not be excused. In most cases, urine splashes will be less than the above.
- See the above answer. If it works, then he should do that and join the imaam.
- A person who follows the preponderant delayed Hanafi ‘Asr position may not join the ‘Asr Salaah being performed at the earlier time. If he does, then it will count as nafl for him and must be repeated once the time comes in according to him.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
