is it necessary to use antibacterial soap (to wash hands), how did the prophet pbuh clean/sanitise his hands after ablution?
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
- It is not necessary to use antibacterial soap to wash one hands. If one uses, then that is permissible.
- You question is not clear. Wudhu/abolution is there to clean oneself. Why would Nabi ﷺ or anyone clean or sanitize his hands again after cleaning himself through wudhu? Water is a purifying agent and is sufficient to attain cleanliness and purity. If someone wishes to supplement it with something, they may do so. In the time of the prophet ﷺ, they would use natural cleansing agents such as marshmallow (khitmi) and seidlitzia rosmarinus (ushnan).
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
