Question:
Is getting vaginal wax done by another female haram? Shaving causes a lot of irritation and has led to infections due to irritability. It’s hard to wax oneself

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

In principle, aside from the spouse, it is not permissible for a person to uncover his/her ‘awrah in front of another person, even if that person is from the same gender. Accordingly, it will not be permissible for you to get a vaginal wax done by another female. If you are married, you may request your husband to assist you in that. We note that shaving causes you skin irritation and even infections. The are other methods of hair removal you may consider such as trimming and hair removal cream.
