We were eating out and my sister was eating a sandwich which we found out was cross-contaminated with Haram. She then touched her phone without washing her hands. I noticed that her phone looked oily so I told her she should clean her phone and later on she told me that she did clean her phone. Now I don’t know if she cleaned it in the method required to remove the najasah and I noticed that her phone usually has finger prints and now I’m afraid of touching her phone at all because of the fear of najasah. She said that she cleaned her phone so should I assume that it is pure? Jazakumullahu khairan.
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
We take note of the details of your query. Regard her phone to be pure and free from impurity. You should not entertain any unsubstantiated doubts.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
