Question:
Assalamualaykum wrwb

I was in a discussion with a couple of my friends and the topic of fireworks came up, specifically July 4th. Are they fine to watch?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

Fireworks have been deemed to be a waste of money and resources. Similarly, watching it is not of any true benefit. Accordingly, it is better to avoid watching fireworks. One should spend his time wisely and productively.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
